Kelly Rizzo, the widow of comedian Bob Saget, recently made her new relationship public. Two years after Bob Saget’s heartbreaking death, Kelly, now 44, has found love again with actor Breckin Meyer. She announced their relationship at a 2024 Grammys viewing party and later made it Instagram official.
On her social media, she posted a heartfelt birthday message to Breckin, describing him as kind, sweet, silly, thoughtful, and hilarious. She wrote, “You deserve to be endlessly celebrated today!” The post received warm responses from friends like Caitlin Crosby and Jana Kramer.
In an interview with E!, Kelly shared that it took her a while to feel comfortable dating again. She addressed critics who thought she moved on too quickly, explaining that only those who have lost a spouse can truly understand the complexities of such a loss.
She emphasized that people who haven’t experienced it have no right to judge. Kelly started dating 18 months after her husband’s death and is grateful to have found someone who respects Bob Saget’s memory. Breckin often asks questions about Bob and keeps his memory alive, which means a lot to Kelly.
For Kelly, it was also important to have the approval of Bob’s daughters. Although she didn’t need their blessing, their support and trust were very meaningful to her.
They expressed their love and trust in her decisions, which reassured Kelly that she was on the right path. She believes that Bob would want her to be happy and finding a new partner who honors his memory has been comforting.
Kelly and Bob Saget were married for four years before his passing in 2022. Her new partner, Breckin Meyer, is best known for his role in the 1990s film Clueless.
He is also a writer and producer, having created the show Men At Work. Breckin was previously married to filmmaker Deborah Kaplan, and they share two daughters.
